We understand that coming along to a new place for the first time can be a bit daunting. At Trinity we will do everything we can to make your experience as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. On this page you should find all of the information you will need as you plan with visit us.
What time does it start?
Our morning services start at 11:30am each Sunday & lasts for around 1 hour 15 minutes. We have both a children’s church and a creche for your little ones.
Creche is available for ages 0 – 3, children’s church for 4 year olds up to 9 years old.
We have an evening service every 3rd Sunday (we rotate with our sister congregations at First and Brookside) – these services start at 6:15pm. Again, there are both creche and children’s church at these services.
What should I wear?
Wear what you feel comfortable wearing. We have a range of ages who attend – some prefer to wear ‘Sunday best’, others dress casual – it’s up to you!
Where can I park?
There is an extensive car park to the side of the church building. Pull in, park in one of the spaces and cross the car park towards the church building. If you have mobility issues, disabled parking close to the church door is available.
What should I expect?
First and foremost you should expect a warm welcome – we delight in seeing new people come through our doors – you will be greeted at the door by one of our welcome team. If you have tots to go to our creche, the welcomer will direct you where to take your little ones. If you have kids who will go to children’s church, bring them into church with you – they will leave for children’s church after the children’s talk in the main service.
Where should I sit?
You can sit anywhere there is a space – we have no reserved seating! If you arrive when the building is particularly busy, your welcomer will locate and show you to a seat.
What happens in the service?
The service is usually led by our minister Brian. Usually, there will be some church announcements to start with (there are lots of activities for all ages – listen out for things that might interest you!), following by singing & prayer. We sing a mix of modern and traditional praise – you don’t need a hymn book – all of the words are projected on screens. Early in the service, there is a kids Bible talk after which the children leave for children’s church. There is a collection taken during the service – if you’ve forgotten to bring money, don’t worry – just let the collection plate pass by!
The sermon will usually last around 30 minutes and will be based on a passage from the Bible. The passage will be read during the service – if you have a Bible then you can bring it with you – if not don’t worry. As the sermon progresses the key points will be projected on the screens so you can follow along. This is then followed by a final hymn & prayer and then the service is over.
