Dear Friend,

It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that all Presbyterian Churches in Ireland have received formal advice that we cease all our organisations, activities and Sunday gatherings until further notice.

From this Sunday we will be live streaming the service and that will be available on the Church website (www.trinityahoghill.co.uk) and the Church Facebook page (@trinityahoghill) at 11.30am. I will also be doing a daily VLOG (Video Log) which again will be available on the Church website and the Church Facebook page. I will aim to have a new VLOG message every day available at 11.00am.

If you need practical help such as getting something from the shops or chemist please let me know as we have people who are ready and willing to help. If you take ill and would like me to pray with you over the telephone please do not hesitate to get in contact, and with your permission, I can pass your request on to the elders for prayer.

As a Congregation this will be a financially challenging time. With no Sunday offering coming in it certainly presents us with a problem. As a suggestion, and if you are able, could you give your offering via a standing order? If you need a form please contact Mr Tom Lindsay (Tel 028 2564 7775) and he will arrange that for you. Currently approximately £1,400 comes in per month via standing order but it would be a great encouragement and help if that could be increased. Our bank balance is approximately £20,000. However our quarterly assessment to Assembly Buildings is £13,000 and so we could soon have a cash flow problem. If you would prefer to give by cheque you could post that to: Mr Tom Lindsay, 5 Gracefield, Gracehill, BT42 2RP. Please make the cheque payable to Trinity Presbyterian Church.

Above all, I would ask you to stand with me in prayer as we do ‘church’ in a very different way over the next while and as we share God’s Word online and via the telephone that God would wonderfully speak through His Word.

Please be assured of my prayers for you and your family at this very difficult time.

Yours in Christ,

Rev Brian Smyth
